The company successfully developed the first batch of sheathed thermocouples in the country at the beginning of 1980s and national

patents were obtained in 1986 and 1987. In 1988, Yuguang’s products were assessed as technologically advanced with domestically

leading quality and having reached the advanced level of similar products in the world by China CACS Engineering Corporation. In 2001, the

company successfully developed hydrophobic probe – high temperature high pressure rapid thermocouple and high temperature high

pressure rapid RTD, and obtained nation patents on July 10, 2002 and, in the same year, these two products were granted the Certificate for

National Key New Product (high temperature high pressure rapid thermocouple certificate No. 2002ED422007, high temperature high

pressure rapid RTD certificate No. 2002ED422011) by the Ministry of Science and Technology, State Administration of Taxation, Ministry of

Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s

Republic of China, and State Environmental Protection Administration. In 2003, the fully sheathed rapid RTD developed by the company for

bearing bush was also granted the Certificate for National Key New Product (certificate No. 2003ED147006) by the above five ministries and

administrations. The above products have also been recognized as reaching the international leading standard by the Ministry of Science

and Technology and the Technical Committee for Standardization of Power Industry Thermal Automation. ??

In order to meet the need of on-site and online maintenance of power generation plants and large and medium steamships, the company

has also developed TR system large rotary machinery rotor multi-position online finish turning and honing system and obtained

international patents (patent No. HK1120985). The system can be used for online finish turning and honing of rotor journals of large rotary

machinery, generator collecting rings, thrust plates of steam turbines, coupling and grounding carbon brush axial surfaces, with machining

precision and polish degree meeting or exceeding the factory accuracy of such equipment and reaching then international standards. This

machining method can be applied on site and most equipment can be processed on the line, e.g. the machining can be conducted, and

there is no need to taking off the lid of turbine cylinder, taking out the rotor of the generator rotor or dock a ship when repair them, thus to

save substantial transport cost, reduce the risk and win valuable time.
